GBS Q-408 is an 80% active alkyldimethylbenzyl/didecyldimethyl ammonium chloride solution in water and alcohol. GBS Q-408 provides broad spectrum bacteriological control with both organic soil and hard water tolerance. GBS Q-408 is an EPA Registered Manufacturing Use Product (MUP) that can be used as a preservative, and as an active ingredient in EPA registered disinfectant, deodorizer, fungicidal and sanitizer formulations for hospital, nursing homes, public institutions and industry. GBS Q-408 is FDA cleared for use as an “indirect food additive” in sanitizing solutions for food contact surfaces, food processing equipment and eating utensils at concentrations up to 400 ppm active without a potable water rinse. GBS Q-408 is also an effective algaecide in swimming pool and industrial water treatment formulations. Based on a unique source of naturally derived amines, GBS Q-408 is a high purity material characterized by consistent, low color and odor, that can be differentiated into consistent, high value end-use products.
