Technical Information
Valens AG-425 is a 50% active in water C8-14 alkyl polyglucoside, naturally plant derived nonionic surfactant with high biodegradability and low aquatic toxicity. Valens AG425 is derived from renewable raw materials, through a combination of plant based fatty alcohols (coconut C8-14) and glucose (corn starch).
In Personal Care applications, Valens AG-425 is recommended as a cosurfactant in shampoos, shower gels, and bubble bath formulations where mildness is required. Velox AG-425 enhances the deposition of cationic polymers from shampoo formulations, which can improve the conditioning effect. In HI&I applications, Valens AG-425 has the wetting, penetration and detergency properties desired for products designed to clean surfaces such as glass, ceramic, plastic and metal. In liquid hard surface cleaners Valens AG-425 contributes nonstreaking, non-filming and nonstress cracking of cleaned surfaces while functioning as a hydrotrope to compatibilize other co-ingredients.
